Commercial Construction Superintendent

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Construction Superintendent in a medium sized growing Commercial Building Construction Company located in Colorado Springs.  The successful candidate will have been a lead superintendent on multiple commercial ground up buildings between $8M and $20M over past 8 years.  Resume must be accompanied with a project completed list with dollar amounts, dates and brief project description.

Compensation will be in line with the experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of building construction from initial planning to completion
  • Manage multiple trades and job site personal
  • Conform to company policy and reporting requirements.
  • Must demonstrate understanding of site logistics, planning,  site safety and construction operations.
  • Proficient at reading and comprehending construction plans, specification, contracts, purchase agreements and project scope 
  • Prepare and maintain CPM schedule, provide weekly updated look ahead schedules
  • Maintain material deliverable schedule
  • Maintain and track productivity and work interfaces
  • Complete and maintain proper documentation accurately and timely including daily reports, photos, as builds etc
  • Conduct coordination meetings with all subs, owners architects and consultants
  • Monitor, coordinate and review, RFI logs, submittal logs and shop drawings
  • Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
  • Identify plan and spec discrepancies with project design team
  • Responsible for the safety of the site and all workers as well as overall quality of project
  • Responsible to managing general budgets and overall project costs
  • Responsible for mentoring and managing team members, and oversight of time management

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years commercial building construction supervision as a lead superintendent
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction technology, equipment, and methods; trade agreements, jurisdiction and negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules and safety
  • Excellent communication, organization, and supervisory skills essential
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw solid conclusions
  • Ability to travel within Colorado
